Mt. Fuji Sakura Collage - Mini Giclee

Description: Part of a new collage series of Japanese Sakura Blossom inspired by and created during Patricks most recent trip to Japan in the Spring of 2014. Every spring the Sakura trees flower all across Japan in a beautiful display of millions of cherry blossoms. Astounded by the beauty of the sights and smells of the Sakura season Patrick was also inspired to create this series during a visit to the Sato Sakura Museum in Nakameguro, Tokyo where he was influenced by by the great Japanese masters including Katsushika Hokusai. This is the first piece in an exclusive series of 9 Sakura inspired collages that will be released and shown in both Hawaii and Japan over the next year, some of which will also feature colaborations with Japanese artists.
This Mini Giclee is 9" x 12" and is printed on archival certified 430gsm Oxford 2 over 1 fabric weave matte poly-cotton canvas using archival Canon Lucia pigmented inks that are both engineered to last at least 100 years under proper display and storage conditions. After printing each giclee is hand stretched on to a wood backer using a custom cut gallery wrap and also features a custom mitered wood hanging bracket.
