"Fruit of Life Mandala"
By: Patrick Parker
Fruit of Life Mandala is part of Patrick's Sacred Series that is only available exclusively here at 9th Wave Gallery.
The Fruit of Life is the sacred pattern composed of 13 circles taken from the design of the Flower of Life. It is the blueprint of the universe, containing the basis for the design of every atom, molecular structure, life form, and everything in existence. It contains the geometric basis for Metatron's Cube, which brings forth the platonic solids. The tree and roots painted over the Fruit of Life symbol represents life and growth, as well as the Void, with the smaller colored Flower of Life symbols representing the other elements. Arranging these symbols into a mandala allows the balancing of visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony.

The Meaning of The Sacred Series: When I was given the challenge by Jay Celat to create a series based on sacred geometry, the five elements, the seasons, the chakras, and the sun and moon, I happily accepted. In my professional art career spanning over six years, I had never focused so deeply on creating a series with so much meaning. The process took over three months to create the seven part series, with many hurdles to jump and problems to solve.
I began by researching sacred geometry, and discovered many fascinating things about the world, the universe, and myself. The saying "The more you learn the less you know" became very real to me as my mind was opened to this new way of thinking, connecting, realization, and philosophy. I started to see sacred geometry and patterns in my everyday life that went unnoticed before, which made me even more interested in the subject. Applying the things I have learned studying sacred geometry in my art was challenging but deeply rewarding as each piece began to develop. And as I started incorporating the five elements, the seasons, the shakras, and the sun and moon, it became an even more gratifying journey.
Starting with the 10" x 10" pieces, I laid the foundation down, introducing the viewer with simple patterns to my inspirations. As the pieces become larger and more complex, they begin to incorporate the elements with more energy, color, and flow. And as this happens, they become more thought provoking and interesting to look at. Throughout the series you will see reoccurring shapes and colors, this symbolizes the connection that everything in the universe has.
I hope you enjoy the experience viewing this series and hope it will spark an interest in your mind to explore more deeply into this ancient knowledge.
Mahalo,
Patrick
